In this series, I was interested in exploring the possible dystopian futures (due to climate change) at iconic locations around our beautiful planet. These futures are based on the idea that if the human race continues its current course then climate change will become an unstoppable driver in everyday life (as opposed to being mainly in political discourse today.) I do hope that none of these futures ever come to pass...but if they did - our planet would recover and in the longer context of geological time, we would have been a minor blip in its unfolding history. These images of the future explore sea level rise, migration and food security, acid rain, emissions and pollution, massive loss of biodiversity and life, and finally extinction level events. Of course, as an "artist" who see's technology as a tool for creation, these images were obviously not "captured" and only partially "created" by me. Instead, they were generated by the AI technology - DALL-E, and therefore, all single images here are under creative commons license. The combined image (9x9) I will maintain copyright as an artist's assemblage.
